I arrived in Florida on that January day, in an airplane full of cold Minnesotans. I couldn’t help but notice them shedding their sweatshirts for t-shirts as the plane descended. It seemed as if they had no concern that there may be worse weather upon their return as they had no noticeable warm jackets with them, but they didn’t seem to care. Like most Minnesotans I suppose they would worry about that when they had to, no sooner.

  Have you ever had a feeling that something extraordinary was about to happen? I pondered the feeling I had as I strolled toward the mailbox that sunny autumn day. I suddenly felt lighthearted and found myself almost skipping lazily down the sloping hill. The sun beat down as the wind beautifully rearranged the pavement with leaves, red maple leaves mixed with yellow ash as if in a dance of nature’s design. I thought how wonderful it was
